They learn quickly if they are driving through roundabouts.

Really quickly.

I think people get used to them pretty quickly but it does take some practice staying in your lane and knowing when to signal when you have to cross over traffic flow.

It's one of those things that sounds difficult, but literally everyone is turning so every one is slowing down. It's amazing.

Actually here in exurban/rural Washington we have tons of them along a main trucking road and they aer no problem - in fact, WSDOT recommends that trucks can drive over the middle hump (they are designed for this) and there are signs for 2-lane roundabouts to tell drivers not to drive next to trucks

Oh and let's not forget the elk further south of here! They are huuuuge!

Uh, we got tons of trash pandas out here in Duvall.

Also, a lot of bunnies, opossums, squirrels, deer, cows, horses, and an occasional bear.

And that's just the four-legged animals!

Serious question: does he understand that broadcast licenses apply to local stations using specific frequencies, and not ABC, the network?

I suppose he's using mush-brain shorthand for ABC-owned stations and/or as a lever to threaten local stations for broadcasting ABC news content? Or something?

Also leery of the doomsday stuff too - as an industry of software engineering, we are pretty adaptable and flexible. While I definitely acknowledge short/medium term pain, I'm pretty excited about use of AI for software development.

So long as we still have a planet on which to live, of course.

I think that the people who are using the tools like myself are inherently pragmatic and are less likely to buy into the hype because the exact experience that makes us appreciate the tools also makes us incredibly leery of the hype (and concerned about the AI industry itself)

As tools in software engineering (as *tools*) there are some fantastic examples of AI in use.

But it's not sexy, and some of the tools and infrastructure are provided by some decidedly uncomfortable business practices. So it's hard to be blanket "advocate" except at the tool-by-tool level.

Let's ask the hard hitting question: Has anyone been thrown out of your show for doing that? And did you agree with them getting thrown out?

Oh my... those breakdown sections in the middle... and the piano. This is a whole new groove.

Yah, I was gonna say "I'm sure they can code... but can they TEST!?!?"
