The RitualBound behind the scenes document is mostly written, so now I've been gathering up screenshots and links for it.

On Feb 1st, Strawberry Jam 2026 begins, which will take up all my time that month, so I am trying to get this released before that.

Cant wait to share it when its done!

Still filling out more behind the scenes stuff, trying to focus on any interesting tidbits I recall, and anything you would never know when playing the game.

I haven't written this much in while, so its proving a challenge, but I am making progress.

Soon enough it will be time for a proofread.

Behind the Scenes is going well, although I am realizing I have to rewrite each section usually, to make it a bit less dry.

I'm trying to make sure each section is interesting, and includes various emotional tidbits and thoughts.

It'll take longer than 3 weeks, but I think it'll be interesting!

I've about got the Making of RitualBound / Behind the Scenes sections mapped out and arranged.

Right now there is a section about the creation of the game, then one for art, music and sound, the design process, and a few more.

I will finalize it and begin filling them out later this week.

So having released RitualBound one week ago and then taking a week off, I am ready to resume.

I'm going to spend the next three weeks working on a behind the scenes document, which will include in-progress and unused art, unused mechanics, and more.

The final ritual has been externally play tested and tweaked on the feedback. I believe its the right difficulty now. Now I am finishing setting the score calculation. After that, release time!

I suspected the final ritual was too hard, and my play testers have now confirmed it. One tester even referred to it as 'brutal.'

I implemented some of the feedback, and I think it's getting to be the right amount of difficult now. Gonna have the play testers give it another try shortly.

It's finally time to get some external playtesting on the final ritual. If it goes well, I can release the game very shortly, like a week or two!

Final Ritual mechanic behavior is set. This week I'm just tweaking the frequency/damage of said behaviors. It may take a week or two. After that, it should be good to go.

Final Ritual mechanics are done, and just need tweaking to make them the right level of difficulty. That's the focus of this coming week.

Still aiming for a mid-December release, and then its all done!

I finished up the mechanic I was working on for the final ritual, but it was still missing something. So I created two additional mechanics.

Should have both of them done this week, and then its on to difficulty tweaking!

I finished more mechanics this week on the final ritual. There is only one more to go (maybe two if needed), before the difficulty related playtesting and tweaking.

After that, the game is largely wrapped up.

Final encounter endings are done and epilogue is done. All that's left is the ritual itself, and then tying it all together with the other screens/features.

The In Game Art Viewer is done for final character. Bio/Stats are done as well. I even got the illustrations rewards started. On to blocking out the final ritual!
