The first time bee and puppycat did it (before netflix and on virv or smth) it failed so it didn’t really have the same impact as Hazbin which did the same and succeeded financially, and Hazbin still made more of a splash than it did

Whether you like it or not a queer indie series getting millions of views off just a pilot and then being picked up by a streaming service (while having a very successful spin off) did wonders for indie animation on YouTube. No I’m not happy about it either but theres a reason
