failed 2-pt - onside

In the kick away scenario there's a very good chance you end up with no time to onside after.

in the fail 2-pt you atleast know what has to happen (if it's possible is another thing)

Also, going for 2 upfront then made the decision on kick away vs onside kick, knowing you need 2 scores

If they hit the PAT, they would have kicked away hoping for a stop. Assuming they got the ball back, there might not have been time for an onside kick after a failed 2-pt.
