This article demonstrates that current state of digital medicine is framed disease by disease and does not fit the epidemiological reality of patients with chronic conditions who often have multimorbidity !

A physician should prescribe 13 apps and 7 wearables if he wanted the patient to have functions considered important by experts.

We identified 148 digital health tools (apps or wearables) approved by @fda.gov or ORCHA that could be prescribed to a patient with 5 chronic conditions.
A "maximalist" physician should prescribe 43 apps and 13 wearables if he wanted the patient to have all functions offered by these tools.
