In case anyone is wondering, this rating would not change if you count the "Irresistible" album as part of it or not. That being said, the rest of the compilation was slightly better than that album.

I don't know that we make rock stars anymore but I think Bruno Mars proves that a "weird little guy with too much energy" can still be a pop star

As a casual jazz fan and someone with a rudimentary feel for the technical aspects, I loved this quote from Coltrane from the liner notes:
"I'd much rather you didn't put anything technical in the notes. It might get in the way of people finding out what there is in the music for them."
