Which was a terrible series, get some Hogarth books instead.

An anthro fennec called Elaine Harlow, she has white fur and wears a bright yellow latex mask and glove. The glove has dark pads on her finger tips and nubby coverings for her claws. The mask on her face resembles a happy face with black lines for the expression that have zippers. In 2018, I offered friends headshots to help promote myself as an artist. Enjoy some muppetesque maw shots and furries in boxing gear.

In 2017, I did these icons to raise money for the Louise Lawrence Transgender Archives campaign on Indiegogo, I asked for a minimum donation of $5, the average was $15.

I was quite proud of myself at the time.
A wounded mammalian beast called Lapscheel with a stitched up scar on their chest and an arm in bandages, their body is long and noodly but still.quite thick. Their head lowered with a melancholic expression, albino red eyes gazing to the ground half lidded. Their fur is different shades of pink, a lighter hue for the underbelly and spotted streaks on their back. They have modestly sized horns with one coveted in red twine. Private Adriel, an anthro canine of unknown breed in an old american world war uniform. 215 airborne division patch with a canid bleeding a single tear patch on his sleeve. A pink dog with blue gummy dreads called Cassidy, sporting a nose ring, ear piercing and hot pink leather colour. Their smug expression mocks you. An anthro rat called Ash blind in one eye, they've ruffled cream fur and a mop of ginger hair, their ears and nose are naked and pink, and like many rodents they have an overbite. The background is a Sellen chart, used by optician to measure visual acuity.

Eris is my forever muse so this was fun to draw.

STUDIES I, 2018-20

Various things I practiced some long time ago. I switched to physical sketchbooks this year, but digital has its appeal for building the natural dexterity for using a stylus.

Some are long with thin fingers, others are fat and stubby. There's a range of colour from forest greens to murky swampy browns and one deep dark blue. A paw of a tokay gecko is more dusk hued with bright orange spots. Raccoon and opossum headshots. Featuring two studies of their skulls. A collection of knuckle studies of hands in various poses. Each outline is a different colour.

I like keeping all the good faces together as it ought to show how far I've come. So starting in 2015, I took my first commission from Armeline for these then did the others in 2017; OCs are Sola Grimaude, Kaj the Lair, and Delta.
A sukeban ferret called Armeline in a spiked leather jacket, grinning at the viewer with sharp teeth and shiny black lips. Her hair is tied in a bun with wisps of curls frame the sides of her face, each ear sports a double industrial piercing. The background has the word DOOK scrawled behind her. There's an idea for a scene percolating with these, it's not quite there yet but I've got the major pieces down of what I want.

The idea here was partially inspired by the SCP Tale 'The Stars Do Not Wait For You' for her birthday.
An anthro quoll woman rests her hands upon a floating skeleton that's slowly disintegrating. She's looking at you intently while the rest of what appears to be a ballroom with art nouveau stairs and grand pillars unravel, tiles from the floor are missing at the edges. I wrote a bit about this piece but I also can't stop gushing over it. It's so sweet and tranquil.
An anthro Jackrabbit kneels with her hands clasped together, her whole body dressed in a severe black tactical uniform. Her eyes closed and head tilted in a calm, serene expression. Her ears slightly pivoted out, and multiple black butterflies perch on her, their black wings dotted with white in a uniform arcing column midway out to the edges from their fuzzy little bodies. Their exact species is the Weidermeyer's admiral, the jackrabbit in villainous attire is known as Yvonne MacStitch, her team calls her Slate. I chose butterflies because they represent the end of a metamorphosis, a completion, fully coming into form. Specifically, these are the Weidermeyer's Admiral. Yvonne is a black-tailed Jackrabbit, a xerocole; desert-dweller. But her powers push her into unfamiliar situations, and in writing when she uses her darkness power the space between walls she transverses I've often described it as 'wet', like the proverbial fish out of water, Yvonne is a hare out of her natural habitat. This isn't acceptance, but comfort. Welcoming the strangeness of her situation. I do like their pattern of the wings. No matter how dark, there is some light in there. but perhaps I'm being too hard on myself.

Double feature post for my fancy rat, Julian Shoveller. If you ever need to know why I like sad, sleazy greaseball rat guy types. It's him, the first drawing I did post-foundation at art school as soon as it was summer.

There's a bottle in the corner that reads rat poison butt grease that has a threateningly unnatural luminious green glow. Julian is bent over the kitchen sink in a run down apartment. Cigarette floating in manky water with undone dishes. On the counter there's a dying sunflower plant wrapled on police crime scene tape and dead leafless plants in background. A hand grips his side with a large beer can thick dick presses up against his ass cheeks. The other figure is a large muscular bat gripping a mug stating number one arse fucker. He talks down to Julian saying Take a good look I'll be washing your face in with the dishes after coffee. Behind them both is the board saying the hoyse rules. One no cops two smoke outside three or your ass is mine.

Kraken once posited this #Korps AU where Audrey got huge from its premise that psychic powers also boosts your physical strength. As a natural gym bunny I had to illustrate it.

One common detail is that psychic potential distorts light causing a halo effect

One thing I want to get better at is keeping what drives and exemplifies a character internally consistent. Moodboards don't just help with visual details but personality and demeanour too.
