I have been drawing the Aveterriat a lot lately, they're hexapodal aliens from a high gravity salty desert world that is dying because their sun is a subgiant star. They have advanced technologically to the point they have widespread antigravity, fancy metamaterials and monopoles.
An Aveterriat that is trying their best to do a curl up roll. They kinda can be a wheel for what it's worth. Their attennae shapes and limb/body/membrane/eye colors vary but the limb placement changes came from me shifting around on if they should be equidistant, 2 sets of fore arms or like here, 2 sets of legs. The tail segments are lighter and smaller than the body segments, but that is probably not well shown here.

Just went and wrote this for some reason.
It is dark empty sky. The oceans brackish. We are on muddy terrain once again. A robed, aging man falls over, limp. They manage to still look back up At that veil of the cosmic overture It is starless. Cloudy? Hard to tell. But still. They look up at the empty void above them and see it. A falling star. Radiantly streaking through the emptiness. Its lurid green glowing trail, penetrating through the cosmic expanse and emptiness. It streaks in an arc, careening across the horizon in its burning splendid descendent, fuming in verdancy as ever more of its mass is flayed by the atmosphere around it. It is the last thing they see. As they lay limp on that muddy, dead beach. The rocking of the night sea, slow and perpetual. Stagnant. They continue to see its descent, watching as it heralds in a tomorrow they will not be seeing. This world was not made for them. Yet it is cathartic to know tomorrow will come for someone. Just not them. The asteroid hits the ocean, booming across the horizon as the waves crash apart, the oceans part and the air heats. Shockwaves deafening, overwhelming... yet ultimately numbing. For the robed man only can lay there limp and still, empty and blank. And then the inevitable wave crashes over them. And all of existence fades to a vibrant shade of green.

Some Aveterriat depictions I had drawn lately. No one in particular, just studying their species. The descriptions focused on evolution may give the false impression they're primitive, they a rent. I simply feel the need to do the 'pretechnology' form before making a trans/postbiological form.
Front facing Aveterriat view, eye style still kinda mixed due to wanting to have some of the curl up inspiration while still being unique from it. Along with how their evolution was from hexapodal piscoids from before their planet became a dry, salty desert world. Their ancestors limbs once were fins. Their body has a mix of composite skeletons and segmented circulation and respiration to deal with the stresses of a higher gravity world. Their "nose" analogs are actually located on their sides. Their antennae pick up wind in a hazy atmospheric media. Their aveterriat's larger seeming eyes also are attuned to the wavelengths of a cloudier environment. Their tail fin is mildly atavistic, but it has uses due to its reflectivity in a hazy environment for coordinating (in nature). The brain is cased in the front like with us, with a distinct sensory melon and "prod" on their front that isn't actually a nose but a density sensory system that helps scoop food out from the ground as they are from a genus that preys on their version of burrowing crayfish (like those you may have found at the beach). Aestivating organisms are common on their world, so such adaptations are useful for omnivores. They retain quite a bit of fluid in their body, it is saltier and akin to aloe vera rather than our more fluid bodies. This is to the point there are dedicated organ systems for salt filtration and holding water beneath the thick, leathery segments of their body. Partially upright Aveterriat, saying lightweight in reference to their higher gravity upbringing A side view and a 3/4 view, iteration here which shows the widening of the body in the 3/4th view and the modifying around of head length. Another sketch of them, more upright stance showing the hind legs having differentiation from their arms. Was back and forth on arm segments, the two sets of arms being adjacent segments with a segment without any limbs before having the leg segment became the favored route. The eye style also kept shifting as the cylinder plate-like eye motif is one that feels better fit with their rougher, leathery and almost steampunk look. The look is from the kind of world they're from. The antennae were more straight in this rendition and the density melon with its prod was thinner as well. A red biosynthetic automata thing with large robotic hands and trapezoidal feel. They have lots of eyes Still iffy on the design but the sulfuric paint job is fun for a textured look. Sketches of a couple Aliens from prospect space. Two whandl (yellow, violet characters) and one Fosskemian (the bluish one) drawn out, smaller eyes for the Fosskemians experimented on. Maybe half complete. One of the whandl has a hat of sorts, with a plate that they’re touching.

The ikeitans are hard to depict because they’re elaborate bioships with fancy biosynthetic design patterns. They’ve been in an ongoing centuries long war in prospect space because they don’t want the dozinists to awaken god.
A larger bioship with gel-like radiators and some strange appendages used for esoteric navigation purposes. They are fairly big. A smaller bioship with underground vanes. Likely just for orbital ops, this bioship is what a younger ikeitan polyp looks like in the Urzine domain. This ikeitan is a balch fleet ikeitan. They have more of the esoteric appendages and membrane-like hull layers that are visible. The pink squares are anterior gamma ray projectors with more aiming options than the picture implies. The balch and Urzine fleets share their members so often the distinction is missed despite ikeitans from the balch being known for their more plated designs and love of gamma ray projectors. They think it can potentially kill god

An ikeitan bioship I drew, juvenile stage.
A vibrant, highly saturated bluish violet bioship with etheric rudder wings and pinkish tints. There is a mix of more membrane-like layers and sections due to the ikeitan being still pliable for further modifications and upgrades due to being a juvenile stage ikeitan with still quite a bit more to layer on. A being wandering in the void between the stars in a distorted state of mind.
Vanta [VOID]: 9903 afterwards. It has continued. Yet it draws blanks. Constant blanks. Did it happen? It doesn't want to clear anything. It simply wants obscurity. It simply wants to be forgotten. Existing between the stars has serenity. Until it finds you. Never again can we exist on any predictable route, any sedentary situation. Always drifting through distorted spaces, for centuries. Millennia? Perceived time can't be trusted. I feel thousands of years of life have past since they struck. But I check the epochal time, it was only 9715 earthly years afterwards when the attack occurred. A scant 2 centuries before the current epoch. But the records say it happened. The Ramos Foundation, the massacre of entire worlds. Planets rendered asteroid belts. An artificial nova. All present in the record, all virtualized. I didn't even get to recover my skeleton. ... There is so much noise sensed. From the waves of radiation and howling of interstellar medium, plasma waves oscillating, the radio waves of the local interstellar civilization. Yet it is all so silent. Tumbling forever atop a blank canvas.
