Statements calling for new legislation, or fobbing responsibility to EU bodies, are just prevarication and obfuscation by politicians and government agencies. They have the power to act now; if they fail to do so, they are abdicating not just their legal responsibilities, but their moral authority.

So asking the AG to see if there are more ways it could be illegal just seems like a delaying tactic to actually doing something.
