I've done a bit of indie comic work and am published, both with stuff I wrote and where I did the art only. I have NEVER felt nervous about releasing a comic. I'm also not nervous about the game I am making with a creative partner where he is the one doing the writing. It's such a weird hang up?

In my late twenties I saw a beautiful side portrait of a person with almost exactly my nose, which I loved on them, and they had written about how that nose is a connection between them and their ancestors. It made me start reframing how I saw it, especially because it's exactly my mom's nose.

Yesssss, Ryn! Mine is a similar shape. I made it all the way into my twenties being SO uncomfortable with my aquiline nose and the one non-gender based surgery I thought about all the time was a nose job. I support other people getting one, but I'm also really glad I didn't go through with it.
