The country whose race laws were considered too harsh, even by the nazis, didn't turn evil the day Trump got elected.

Because his policy financially wrecked the same farmers he needed politically, and the bailout was a band-aid to stop them from abandoning him. He funneled taxpayer money into private hands, which is what capitalist governments do when propping up private capital, not any form of collectivism.

Trump didn't nationalize the farms, collectivize the land or turn agribusiness into worker cooperatives. When you call a textbook case of crony capitalism "socialism" you're muddying the terms so he never has to take responsibility for policies that benefit his donors and political allies.

I will try to explain this as objectively as I can so you may understand it: What he did was government-directed market favoritism for specific private actors, the literal textbook definition of Crony Capitalism, something that Socialism directly opposes.

A temporary subsidy, bailout or compensation program is market intervention within capitalism, something capitalist governments have done for centuries. Nothing about ownership or production became socialized.

The military-industrial complex and war profiteering have both been the backbone of every major capitalist power for over a century
