Having the very rare day where I feel like I'm ok at fighting games

Peacemaker (Season 2):
It started off strong, but I became massively deflated with this season's second half. Gunn just isn't suited for television runtime on account of how much this season felt like meandering. No other characters shine like Chris and Harcourt, and that is very unfortunate.

Kronk's New Groove:
A cinematic masterpiece with a an emotional deep dive into the effects of generational trauma and the need to always be greater than what you are. No other Disney film would dare to be as bold as having Kronk have sex through the visual metaphor of baking bread.

Predator (1987):
I struggle with the words for this one aside from saying that it's pretty cool. A sci-fi twist on the slasher film is neat and it is obvious to see why it caught on so well.

Mouthwashing:
A wild psychological horror trip with a grounded depiction of the descent of a person that can't rise above their own ego, with also a depressing look at the isolating experience of victims of assault. Had a wonderful time going through this one with @comatoserain.bsky.social

Was having a good time but then I got to Deep Jungle. I hope the person that programmed that level was never allowed to touch a computer ever again.

A Better Life:
A sad movie about a dad, his son, and their truck. I do think it kind of falls victim to the disillusionment of what the American Dream actually is for immigrant families, but it does provide a genuine relationship between its two main characters for an emotional journey.

John Wick Chapter 4:
Peak action cinema. The sets, the lighting, the soundtrack, and the choreography are all off the charts. Maybe there is something to be said about the length of the film, but it feels like it perfectly justifies itself each time to have more amazing setpieces.

I love comics

I've never played Chess. They never added it to the Yakuza games

Nah. Even if it's a game I love, I don't really want to bite on something that seems like it should have been free content. Even if it didn't affect my opinion much, lackluster post-game is a common complaint so it's kind of just bs

I haven't! I've heard good things about it, but it has not exactly been on my radar.

I guess it can vary, but I do like long individual levels that build upon themselves rather than concepts being fleshed out among a series of levels. That's lot of the reason why Tropical Freeze stands out the way it does. Mechanics to let you build momentum are also super cool.

This sounds like a threat 😧

A little late but this goes hard

Everyone else is getting their long awaited continuations. When is it MY turn??? 😭

Saving Face (2004):
Jiji and I were looking for a romance that hits close to us, and while we didn't share in the main couple's dynamic, this was a wonderful little film. A movie where cultural gendered expectations takes the antagonist role, affecting both the older and younger generations.

This weekend, I:
-Talked endlessly, shared drinks and watched movies with Jiji
-Took walks and shared our worlds
-Started building our Minecraft house together
-Made pancakes using her recipe
-Met her wonderful sister
-Slept by each other's side

Happy 2 months, Jiji. I love you so much 💙

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum:
The complaints I've heard with this movie's focus on worldbuilding feels massively exaggerated because I find the action and the establishment much more evenly distributed versus how frontloaded with the establishment the 2nd movie was. This one is also very funny.

The Long Walk:
A harrowing movie with a dark spin of the message, 'keep moving forward.' It does such a great job of making all of the boys' lives feel fleeting and insignificant, making for a genuinely distressing theatre experience waiting for the next loud gunshot to go off and who it's aimed at.

Personally, it depends on the design of the spider. If it's cartoony, I can deal. That is to say, make your spider look like this

Day 4:
Let it Snow is a perfect fusion of the series knack for over the top comedy and drama to tell a story so unexpectedly poignant by the end of it. The substory writers for the mainline games really do only get better and better.

Day 3:
Maybe Yagami's Tiger style? I think Gaiden makes the best of combining both of its fighting styles, but tiger style by itself just feels great combined with Yagami's more acrobatic movement
