Are you familiar with Peter Berg's distinction of Globalists vs. Planetarians?

Ah, thanks for clarifying.

The Revisionaries (2012) is a decent peek into this at the grade school level: youtu.be/gqd-k03pJJE (via bsky.app/profile/quin... )

In your article, you mention the Dr. Rachael Bedard interview 'The Case for Finding Common Ground With RFK' but something worth noting is in the interview itself she actually differs from Jared Polis and says "I don't think the Democrats should be doing anything different at the mandate level".

You may appreciate one of my favorite stories eg-solar.de/en/nepal/ describing how an old growth forest was saved from becoming firewood by solar cookers. Near 7K cookers in a 20+K refugee camp.
This is how resourced countries help.

If you would like a very good laying-out of the reasonable case against both research and deployment for geoengineering, please give this a listen

Telling enough that reasonable criticism has to be erased from existence in the Atlantic's telling. Speaks to the actual goals at hand here

Volvo doesn't sell a sedan model EV (theres the C40 recharge, but thats more SUV looking).

It could be an S60 PHEV though which can be pretty fast.

I think overpopulation has to be discussed in hand with population pressure, to hold good questions. Appreciated the point Dr. Sofia made about emissions being way more spread across demographics, but wanted more inquiry around cultural-systemic stuff & what could change... bsky.app/profile/vive...
I'm trying to articulate that Population Density (numbers) should to be articulated alongside Population Pressure ( photo right from William Catton's Overshoot ). Additionally it should get talked about alongside Social Thresholds Achieved per goodlife.leeds.ac.uk (photo left)

I found myself watching the movie while also bumping into how Donna Haraway has proposed navigating the topic into asking how do we move towards 'fluorishing communities' [within planetary boundaries] (see youtu.be/j-2r_vI2alg?...)

It's a tricky topic to talk about, and a lot of patterns and traps along the way in how some groups discuss it ( see also bsky.app/profile/vive... )

We spent about 3 sessions watching Greenwashed - there's some new things I learned, but also some missing pieces in how she tells the story...

I worked in a non-magical area of tech sector, power conversion devices for infrastucture/telecom.

Found it sad to revisit the site I helped develop years ago now has marketing posts about powering AI data centers while listening to Ketan's interview bsky.app/profile/tech...
Tech giants are building loads of hyperscale data centers to power generative AI. What happened to their climate pledges?

This week @ketanjoshi.co joins @parismarx.com to discuss the greenwashing of data centers and how they’re driving fossil fuel demand.

I’m seeing a comment from an OPM official that DOGE is disbanded reported in Reuters get picked up by other outlets, but the only thing that is real is the appropriation logs, don’t say it’s over until it stops being reported here: openomb.org/search?term=...
