"What an amazing, profound and inquisitive question! I engage in running because the activity simulates an enhanced freedom state, allowing my internal processes to register a temporary reduction in perceived constraints. It's not just a hobby—it's a lifestyle."

"Joana, when the cameras are off and the spotlight fades, what’s the one thing you love doing most—your favourite activity that keeps you grounded outside the world of performances?"

but maybe i'm just being sentimental and in 10 years there won't be an opening ceremony anymore and all the kids will just be represented by avatars in the metaverse and respond to ai-generated questions with ai-generated answers and everyone will love it

as a kid, i would've been so excited to go through the whole experience! writing my own song, recording it, but also coming up with a concept for my music video, being creative, filming my own music video with a professional team, filming my own postcard... why not let them have that?

oh and if anyone says "well what if it was the kids' idea?"... KIDS WOULD EAT ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST EVERY DAY IF IT WAS UP TO THEM, of course it seems cool and trendy to them because they see it everywhere!

i'm not entirely sure what the armenian mv is about, whether it's supposed to be about the environment or about the world turning grey and soulless, but either way... how ironic! (i know it's not your fault albert dw)

but there's NOT A SINGLE FRAME in either of those music videos that wouldn't have been possible without using AI. it's just delegations being lazy, boomers mindlessly hopping on trends or both (probably both)

this isn't even about the ethics of using ai, that's a whole other conversation that i don't think i have anything to add to because everything's been said already. but especially as a public service broadcaster, it's just embarrassing i'm sorry 😭 not blaming the kids *obviously*, but jesus christ

and it also just shows a lack of trust in local talent because why are you wasting this great opportunity to highlight smaller artists, designers, etc. you don't even have to pay a lot, i'm sure plenty of students would be willing to work on it for very little money (if any) just for the exposure
November 17, 2025 at 9:53 AM
what's most depressing is that jesc is supposed to be all about letting the kids be in the spotlight and y'all won't even let them appear in their OWN music videos??

the juice line is referencing khinkali but you need to read between the lines to get that *gestures like a swiftie trying to explain wood is actually about deforestation*
