I raved awhile back about the brilliant short story collection Who Will You Save? by @garethlpowell.bsky.social. I just caught up with his Continuance series, and wow—everything I want to say is a spoiler! Inventive, gripping, and full of ideas, these novels are top-shelf #sci-fi.

Doing light editing on a new book chapter today, and I reminded myself about this take by the American poet Robert Creeley. While a comment on poetry, this holds for prose too, me thinks.

Shadow Warrior. George Lucas helped this film 🎥 by Kurosawa get made. The “kagemusha” or shadow warrior is an impersonator or imposter. I’ll leave it up to you to figure out what that might mean in a Star Wars context—Filoni’s no dope.

@aptshadow.bsky.social has written another banger. I’m midway Act 2, and I think the main conflict’s humanity v. our own hubris—our own ignorance. Humanity’s soul is a dark place. But don’t quote me on that yet. Just go read this book. And listen hard enough to hear your own echo.
