Here's a fun picture. My NBC colleagues in the hotel bar after the #MonacoGP back in 2013. Among them are two people who would go on to be the lead announcers for the #Indianapolis500 on US television, neither of whom were born in the US: Leigh Diffey (2018-2024) and Will Buxton (2025)

In hospital for my third spinal surgery in three years, this time to remove a compressed and prolapsed C6/C7 disc that was close to hemorrhaging completely and was severely restricting the movement in my right arm, a problem I’ve been hiding from everyone at all the Grands Prix so far this season…

On this day in 1987, a six-year-old was forced to watch the Brazilian Grand Prix by his older brother who was in charge of the remote control. Suitably fascinated with what he saw, that six-year-old went on to make it a career beginning in 2003, which is currently ongoing :-D

The local cell network in Bahrain has been changed to “Bahrain Race” for the weekend. In December it was changed to “McLaren F1 Champs” as the Bahrainis own the team #BahrainGP 🇧🇭

I can see the marshals using hoses attached to water trucks to try and dampen the grass verges at the Dunlop Curve #JapaneseGP 🇯🇵
