YES. It honestly felt like Rory learned nothing from her college era. Both with Logan and journalism. Chilton Rory was more mature. I loved Jess and the look he gives her makes me melt, but he deserved someone who didn’t use and literally forget about the existence of their partner. 🙄

Oh yeah, I agree. And if the show was made today, I think it could have explored the ripple effect of three generations. And don’t even get me started on the revival. Though funnily enough, Emily’s arc is my favorite. 🥴

My issue is Emily. She never really takes accountability of the harm she did to Lorelai. My mom was verbally abusive like that so it strikes a nerve. There were a few times they graze the surface and it could have been so lovely to dig deeper, but they never do.

I loved the wit and humor! The fast-paced dialogue honestly made the show so unique. I still say the “words putting into sentence doing” quote regularly. 😂

I feel like I should have remembered with the embarrassing amount of times I’ve watched this show. It has been a while since my last watch through though. It was my comfort show for so long but it really didn’t age well and now it rubs me the wrong way with some things. 🥲
