It shows Rosa being picked up by a gaint pair of hands and smashed into a pile of meat, while MARIA grins in the middle. in order, the text bubbles say the following: "...That tortured Maria and her friends." "....Heh heh heh heh..." "If your hands were warm, fit for stroking your daughter's head, turning the pages of her books, and cooking her hot meals, I might have let you survive. One page from Episode 4 of the Umineko: When They Cry manga. There are 5 panels and it begins with Rosa closest to the viewer, coughing, while MARIA and Beatrice stand in the background. It reads "....Mama hit Maria's head more than she stroked it." Panel 2 is just Rosa on the ground, looking terrified. MARIA continues speaking and says "...She didn't turn the pages of my books. She didn't cook me food." The 3rd panel is a 3rd one that stretches across the page horizontally, but is blank other than MARIA's back and a text box reading "Why? Is it Maria's Fault?" Panel 4 is the largest so far, and its a closeup on MARIA yelling. Her bangs cover her eyes as she screams "Is Maria not supposed to feel Mama's touch, to have stories read aloud, to eat dinner together? How come?? It's not Maria's fault! It's Mama!! It's Mama's Fault!!" As the 5th and final panel it is also the smallest out of the set. This shows us Rosa again, this time from a side view. She's speechless other than a quiet "Maria..." 1 page from Episode 4 of the Umineko: When They Cry manga. This one has 4 panels and it begins with a side shot of MARIA and Beatrice. Beatrice asks "Well Maria...? Is she innocent or guilty?" and she screams back "I do not forgive her!! Mama is guilty! I'll make mama feel what she did to Sakutaro!!" as the 2nd panel zooms up close to her eye filled with endless rage. Panel 3 and 4 are both Rosa grabbed by the giant hands again, but the bottom panel is twisting her like a wet towel. 4 panel page of Episode 4 Umineko that does a lot of work of the panels interacting with eachother. The top two are Rosa being wringed and then torn in two (the follow up to the last image.) The blood and insides from her seep down and cover parts of the other half of the page. Between the two lines of that liquid gore are a far off MARIA and Beatrice where we get another question from her, "How hideous! Look at the filth of her insides! So, Maria, does this satisfy your vengeance? Can you forgive your mother? Is she innocent or guilty?"

i've always used the 07th mod so i didnt know the context behind the umineko catbox one, and I went to download it tonight and I'm only crying a little.

Reading Umineko together, with this patch, while it was still being worked on, was one of my best – and, tragically, last – memories with her. It is a memory I will treasure forever. My original decision was to preserve everything about that experience, as perfectly as possible. That included the imperfections of the patch, the various minor text issues here and there. This decision still stands, in part. However, I also now realise that she wouldn’t want our hard work to be abandoned in an unfinished state, that she would want others to experience a truly “perfect” version of this incredible story. So I shall do both. The master branch is left as-is, untouched, at the day of her passing, save for this notice at the top. The release that most closely corresponds to this state is v9.9.99999. The finished, perfect version of the patch is sourced from the rebirth branch, and the release that corresponds to it is v82.7.2. Rest in peace, Tara. And may you live on in everyone’s hearts, for all eternity. May your name be forever engraved on the cold steel of the Web. May its sound endlessly permeate its cables and frequencies.
