That's because the gamma setting changes your system gamma, not the game itself, I included a wrapper that fixes this.

Open DxWrapper.ini and set LimitDisplayModeCount to 0

It's a bit hard to troubleshoot your issue since it doesn't happen in neither my main PC and Laptop with igpu, my suggestion is turn off Windows DEP, rename the game executable and run it as administrator

Could you try this debug version of DxWrapper a little quick? Same procedure as before, access the options menu, exit and sent me the log files, try with HandleExceptions enabled and disabled, sent me the two logs

Ok, I suspected that this would happen, enable HandleExceptions again, on the dxwrapper configuration file set DisableLogging to 0, open the game and access the options menu, then exit it. a dxwrapper log file should be created, sent it to me so I can tell what's crashing the game.
