i think you delivered the intended meaning really well! i also really enjoy the fact that we cannot see his eyes while he offers up his heart. it's a subtle but lovely connection to what you said about him losing any reason to live (ie. eyes are mirrors of the soul and this shows he lost his own)

i am honestly surprised i managed to make it in time.. i never quite locked in like this ahah (i might be a little sleep deprived). but able to provide for this event made it all so worth it!

right?? i remember reading how barok found himself in a dark place without his brother's guidance. and a lost stray is easier to put on a leash, which is exactly what stronghart did to him..
