Yeah, I understand. But do keep in mind that some may not be able to put in the same amount of time or energy, because they simply don't have any to spare. I am aware that it's difficult to quantify how much someone actually wants to be your friend when you don't have many interactions to go off of.

Maybe you haven't met the right people yet? Or maybe your expectations aren't appropriate for the nature of online interactions. I'm cheering you on either way.

There's a lot of bad statistics surrounding social media relative to stuff like suicide rates. But I feel like happiness online should be more from properly interacting with a few captivated individuals and making friends; more so than caring about the numbers on each individual post.
