At least Madders had the good sense to shake the guys hand.
Really hope he plays this season.

Funny enough, the thing that really highlighted this for me was following Tottenham. I always figured I wasn’t tribal and then you follow a sports team and you realize everyone has some tribal energy in them and needs outlets for it just so it doesn’t bleed into other areas.

I’ve tried so many times to get into 2077. Love the table top for sure, but just didn’t click for 2077. I think I wanted more Deus Ex and less GTA, but glad you’re having fun with it.

Really need to grab both Ghost games. Not the biggest fan of the difficulty curve, but should give them a try.

So on a night like tonight, aka yourself what you’re willing to sacrifice to win and be honest with yourself as you probably won’t see the world you truely want and chances are even your kids won’t because what they want will shift too. Still, ask yourself what you’re up for risking and risk it.

It’s for similar reasons why I relate and fully understand Captain Sisko’s monologue from In the Pale Moonlight. It’s has that exact same energy that in times of strife, you have to ask yourself what you can live with in order to win and most of the time that’s not pretty.

I will say this: if you are angry now, it’s up to you to remember this anger down the line. That may be 3 to four years down the line, but that’s what it will take. Even if your situation is different. If this anger is that deep, then remember it down the line.

The other hard part is people forget, move on, or don’t care years down the line. Another battle that’s geographically closer pops up and that becomes the talking point. I kind of wish we remembered things more than just hunting for the next emotional hit.

I have so wanted to play It Takes Two, but I don’t think I’ve got the friend who’d be down for it. It’s on the list of games to eventually play.

I’ll link it here as I kind of feel Frank (even though I do think he is a good manager) for the reasons in this video (even though I also think Ange was a good manager as well.)
Why are NFL teams so much more valuable than soccer teams?

It’s fair. Right now in Tottenham, I feel Frank was brought in by the board due to the risk Ange brought with his style in terms of finances, even if relegation wasn’t a possibility. TIFO did a recent video comparing NFL to PL and it’s kind of eye opening how much financial risk is in the sport.

I mean do whatever you need to do. Unless you’re honestly offensive or just a straight up bot, I tend to take a lot. Granted, it honestly helps I’m not 24/7 Tottenham on my feed or interests in that you’ll see me cycle often, but do whatever you need to do.

Granted, there are people I followed back there that never made the jump here and some that have that I’ve found along the way. It’s cool. In the end, it’s just a data stream I interact with and that’s cool.

For me (and this was probably influenced by the fact I used a 3rd party client for so long), it’s always just been a linear feed free from ads for me. I always hated the other view on X and if there isn’t a pure feed of posts from people I follow in a linear fashion, it’s just not useful to me.

The thing I’ll always thank Ange for is making me forget that at the end of the day, every team is a business and an asset that’s only valuable if it’s in the PL. Frank is a good manager for sure, but hasn’t quite hit that point yet for me and that’s fine.

I get that. I get why we ended up where we did. I think ideally you try to set up the season to have multiple things to play for and I think that’s the aim when people say competing on all fronts. I get that Ange felt he couldn’t do that, so he targeted one, which I also get.

Ideally I’d like to see Frank rotate some younger players in to give them that whole match sharpness thing I keep hearing about, but I also I understand why he doesn’t. Ideally we have players fit during this part of the season.

Again, I wanted Ange to stay. I saw progress with him in a way. I get why Frank and see certain positive signs. Much like last year, he’s dealing with injuries and a packed calendar. Similar situation, just at a different point in time.
