I'm still mad at Liz Cheney and the R's in Congress at the time, who thought that they could supply him enough money under the table, so he would not be beholding to Putin. I don't know what possessed them to think that Trump would stand up to him, but they thought so, and here we are,

His media career wasn't particularly successful either. His syndicated radio show was dropped, then, he lost his Saturday evening time TV slot at FOX. So, he was mediocre, on his best days, as a RW media personality. I call it a wash.

In this case the gerrymandering that was already done worked perfectly. Aftyn won the sliver of Nashville handily, but that only represented 30% of the districts population. The 67% in the rural area, all but guarantees that a Republican will win. Aftyn made inroads, but she needs more help.
