Real Name:Zach Burnett

Discworld, One Piece, MST3K/Rifftrax, and Doctor Who fan.

Atheist but laid-back about it.
He/him/they

Black Lives Matter.

Trans Rights are human rights.
From One Piece (which I consider a spiritual cousin to Discworld)

"When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by a bullet? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom? No. People die when they are forgotten."

Would I work in the detail that, in the Big Finish audio series, the Doctor(the 5th specifically) interacted with Vlad Tepes, aka Dracula?

Plus a company who was one of the ones who gave the Nazis 2.0 wannabe fuhrer money for his ballroom is probably a very bad choice to be the ones owning the developer making the new Wolfenstein games. Not a lot of good signals coming from that.

They are great games, I'm just worried about the 3rd one having problems now that Microsoft owns the publisher and developer. They have REALLY been mishandling things for a few years now.

It's kinda similar to One Piece's regular "cartoony, funny both in and out-of context" stuff vs its regular "here are the real-world horrors of fascism, authoritarianism, slavery, systematic bigotry, genocide, colonialism, etc."

It's a not-insignificant part of why I love both series.

I, among other things, "Cajun' up" the turkey breast I make every year just to avoid having a Thanksgiving meal as bland as that one looks.

Right after I posted this, Emily & I decided to start writing & composing another one. So Roadhouse The Musical is being written now.

Alongside Hawk The Slayer, The Sword and The Sorcerer, and Ator The Fighting Eagle, the Krull Rifftrax proves how well the MST3K/Rifftrax riffing formula works with cheesy 80s fantasy movies.

That's part of the reason Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2 are pretty much the only games I play with the online functionality on. The Social Strand System works entirely on only being able to help other people for "likes" that openly do next to nothing. Simply because doing good feels good.

One of the biggest problems with social media is how exposure and "going viral" isn't really dependant at all on the specifics of the behavior of the person in question. In fact, flashy (and usually shitty) behavior is often far more effective than just being a good, helpful person.

Well, sometimes, a figurehead role DOES need to be filled. Might as well have someone who also does actual work in that role. That's what I would do if I started a media company.
My pay would be for the actual work I do & at the same rate as the other employees, plus $1 a year for the CEO work.

And of course....

I'm also very fond of Hedonismbot. In spite of his utter devotion to hedonism(or maybe it is because of it), he seems to be a genuinely nice and friendly guy who appears to be utterly free of bigotry & prejudices, and that is something to be admired.

Tomorrow from Death Stranding 2 and Atsu from Ghost of Yotei are now easily among my favorite female video game characters of all time and among my favorite video game characters in general. So is Estelle from Trails in the Sky First Chapter, but she's not a new character.

As a graphical remake of my favorite non-RPG game, I'm sure Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater would be on there, too, but I haven't played it yet. I know a family member got me a copy as a gift this holiday season, though.

My opinion about making films, shows, games, etc. is: Don't worry so much about "originality"(as long as you aren't plagiarizing or using gen a/i, which is absolutely a type of plagiarism AND theft). Focus on making what you want to and doing it as best as you can.

And even for "original" films, shows, games, books, etc., almost all media is, by nature, iterative to at least some degree, inspired conciously and unconsciously by what came before.
