When I wrote my 1st academic book, I was in great admiration of the dense footnotes of the scholars I was reading, and my book replicated that. When I wrote my 2nd academic book, I threw that all out and used endnotes purely as citations. Anything worthy of digression went into the text.

He wrote the very first Vietnamese American novel, No Passenger on the River, and now Kaya Press has the honor of re-publishing his second novel, Blue Dragon, White Tiger.
