And that's not to say I don't appreciate the relationships my characters have with others that don't explore darker themes btw. It's not about prefering one over the other. I'm happy when anyone wants to play toys with me. I just feel that certain aspect of me as a creative is stifled. That's all.

having a boundary about what sort of dynamics I can talk about with certain people is good and healthy. I'd rather not paint anyone's oc in a light that makes them uncomfortable. however, I do always feel like I can never talk about ~toxic yaoi~ the way I want to even with those that are interested.
