Not to kink shame, but most economists are gravity pervs who disavow their own desire for the playful Looney Tunes pics they love to post in order to justify austerity. Unfortunately, this cuts across left & right orientations. Do better.

This week, I'm again teaching this beautiful audio essay about about pregnancy & the complex forms of "expecting" its embodiment implies. It's by a former student, Rachel Reynolds, who took my course on essayistic writing at UC Berkeley in 2010. Highly recommend.

Florida is now obliterating not only murals that celebrate diversity & justice, but also anything that looks colorful or communal. Case in point: they're about to destroy this new mural in my neighborhood that features our local mascot: the double-headed alligator.
