Absolutely, 100% correct: Tuvix was a new person. Tuvok and Neelix were no longer there, effectively dead. Tuvix was in no distress or conflict over his form or mind. Tuvix should have been allowed to live.

Truly, healing isn't impossible: but it will involve tackling some previously won battles again, redeveloping some strategies and coping mechanisms for a second time. That feels daunting.

I empathise, truly. The pandemic and simultaneous sociopolitical turmoil, including the swing to the right, hit already marginalised people hardest, especially the trans and neurodivergent communities. I understand your feeling of loss and the feeling of having fallen back. Healing isn't impossible

I love observing the differences between sign languages too! Like a bunch of sign languages use the same sign for "Thank you" but in Danish Sign Language, it also means "Good". And ASL for "Family" is ISL for "Group".
