I have 30 of the New Boyz, since I prefer the sculpt to the old 'twerking' pose. Definitely a worse kit overall though. I managed to customise them to make each model unique but it involved a lot of Mad Dok work chopping up and swapping arms and heads.

The first half is quite good and then the second half beats itself to death with poorly integrated catchphrases and Prometheus nonsense.

The Macrocytes seem interesting to follow a Wraith blob around and potentially get them hitting on 2s, but its going to be fiddly to keep them within 3" and outside of that use case they seem very over-costed.

The deep-strike denial should be useful for me in Nachmund and I'm personally a fan of movement slowing tricks, so not bad. I was hoping it would get to lead Ophydians, but that was always unlikely.

There's often some nuance to these cases which the defendant isn't really motivated to publicise (my guess is its more about *how* they were selling them than the models themselves), so I tend to take such statements with a pinch of salt. But yeah on the face of it this is dumb and bad.

Probably Chess, technically. Then Diplomacy, Risk, and some game I made up myself to let my Lego pirates fight each other. Warhammer 40k 2nd ed is when the trouble really began, though...

I thought the 'Mountains of Madness'-esque setting was interesting, or at least would have been if it was a completely different movie that wasn't tied to either of those two franchises.
