I finished reading my first book of the year: Gideon the Ninth by Tamysn Muir. It was as excellent as everyone who has recommended it to me suggested.
I went over my 2025 finances and made a spreadsheet that shows exactly why and how I've been using up my savings. Highlights include: my income amounting to 30% of my expenses, my rent being 38% of my expenses, and spending $1324 on vet bills.

The first of my close friends had a baby, which is shocking considering that I'm 34. Though it's probably less shocking considering I have like four close friends and only one of them wanted children.

I was expecting a used copy of one of my favourite books as a young child to have some markings, but I wasn't expecting this.

One of the things I really enjoy about doing transcription is going down rabbit holes to understand things interviewees don't know or explain. Today it was English Canadians gathering animal bones during WWII.
