In the article's defense, it does eventually get into the importance of making devices that are repairable and can be upgraded...but the whole point in the "key points" section is to summarize, ya know, the key points.

And let's not forget that the co-holder of the patent for his alt-vaccine was a guy whose medical license had been revoked BEFORE partnering up for the patent, and who thought that his own personal bone marrow was the cure for autism.

Oh and did I mention that he only ever proposed a link between the MMR vaccine and autism, and that he just so happened to hold a patent on a measles vaccine that would have made him rich if people stopped getting the MMR vaccine and instead got each of those vaccines separately?
