Meanwhile, over at Fox news the lead story is about DEI on campus. Epstein story not on the home page. Interesting that Trump is barley seen on the site right now, just one story, one picture of him that I can find.
As the Epstein emails are released Fox news' lead story is about DEI on college campuses in red states. Epstein is not mention on front page.

This sounds cynical, but it is true. If Dems had won and ACA subsidies were extended, they would get no credit for it in the next election. All they did was maintain the status quo.

The political logic of the shutdown fight was inverted: If Democrats got the tax credits extended — if they “won” — they would be solving a huge electoral problem for Republicans. If Republicans successfully allowed the tax credits to expire — if they “won” — they would be handing Democrats a cudgel with which to beat them in the elections.

SNAP is about twice as popular as Trump. 69% of Republicans view SNAP favorably. The money is sitting right there.

Extraordinary times, indeed. This week, administration officials did brief senators on the bombings, which have now targeted 14 vessels, all under murky circumstances. But Democrats say this briefing was for GOP senators only, which may violate the legal requirement for bipartisan briefings.

Fox News does have a single story on their home page about the lock out, health insurance prices, SNAP. But the good news is: that fentenyl that wasn't coming through Venezuela still isn't coming through Venezuela.

Trump makes a vague promise, which the media passes along word-for-word and without question. "Trump predicts how low gas prices will go "pretty soon".

The imagery is symbolic only because the actual transfer of power from Congress to Trump occurred a long time ago, even before the election.
