When Vicious died, he didn't immediately revive as a ghoul, so he was buried. When he woke up the next night, he had to chew his way out of his coffin with his super-teeth and then dig out of his grave. All while unfathomably ravenous with no idea why, of course.

I dunno, be fucking reasonable and communicate, and stop painting everyone with a broad brush just to make yourself feel in the right. It's not constructive and just makes you and everyone around you worse when that mentality infects them.

To clarify there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing personal work and trades as an artist who does commissions.
I do both these things. I'm referring to those who neglect everything else.
I think it's equally unfair if someone sees me post personal things and assumes I'm not doing any work.

Please don't just dunk on all artists. Not all of us want to take your money and ignore you and do trades with our friends for months and pull out every single excuse under the sun when asked where your commission is after months of waiting.

However, most artists can and do want to work with and communicate with you. Instead of talking shit about all artists, it is on you to look out for your best interests and look at their ToS and queue.
If something bothers you but you are interested, ASK! Just be informed.

People who only commission ultra popular artists that are known to have large queues and slow turnarounds and no communication skills, and getting mad and making broad statements that all artists are lazy really need to shut the fuck up.

I'd like you to meet Dr. Alan L Hart, who was a pioneer for tuberculosis and cancer screening research. His use of X Ray technology was vital in the detection and then the treatment of both. You have a lot to thank him for. He also happens to be one of the first doc'd trans men in the United States.
