This morning I realized I had overwritten the folder on my backup drive containing 8 years of game cam and GoPro videos. Ahhhhhh!
Then I remembered the second backup drive with copies of all those files. Thank goodness I’m paranoid 😂

I scored a fun book at the thrift store today: Animal Diversity, 8th Edition by Hickman et al. It’s an intro to zoology textbook. Really interested in getting the high level overview of all the phyla!

Thinking about this for no particular reason
I think the US still hosts the World Cup in 2026, but the country collapses into internecine strife as the Round of 16 kicks off. Think Alex Garland’s Civil War but with soccer balls. This just seems to fit the cool and smart timeline we inhabit
Again, there are people out there who still think the World Cup is going to be played in the United States next summer, can you believe it?

Hernando’s Hideaway at the Yonge St basement location in Toronto. Great tex mex, fun staff, good music. I took my wife there on our second date and we shared fried ice cream, such a good memory. After about 3 more locations and a name change they finally shut down in 2021

I watched 28 Years Later recently and thought it would be a better film without the first and last scenes, which seemed spliced in from a different, schlockier movie. I doubt that’s a novel take. The rest was good, not great. So I’m curious about this new sequel and the glowing reviews it’s getting
