“If anything, Labour’s mishandling of immigration is even more repugnant. The folly of actively cheerleading a fall in it will be increasingly clear when chronic labour shortages in care homes and health services become more acute and universities’ earnings from foreign students dry up”
My Trade Secrets today, in which it's fair to say I go off on one.

The Labour party is famously "a moral crusade or it is nothing". On aid, immigration and trade they're going for the latter option, with betrayals of principle both repugnant and pointless. 1/n

Where do people say they live in the South?

While often grouped as part of the South of England, only 33-35% of people in Norfolk and northern Cambridgeshire consider themselves to live in the region, as do just 53% of people in Suffolk

Love this! From a child of the 1970s and 80s brought up on M&S waste food. Duck a L’orange anyone?
The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.
