➡️Can the flu shot backfire?

No. Claims citing a Cleveland Clinic study are misleading. The study was a preprint, had major limitations like selection bias, and does NOT show flu shots increase your risk of catching the flu.

Ben Franklin:

"In 1736, I lost one of my sons, a fine boy of four years old, by the small-pox, taken in the common way. I long regretted bitterly, and still regret that I had not given it to him by inoculation. This I mention for the sake of parents who omit that operation..."

The science hasn't changed: the maternal RSV vaccine and infant antibody offer powerful protection—and they're still available.

Stay #RootedInProtection this winter and ask your healthcare provider about RSV prevention.

I lost my son to MenB. Today, there’s a vaccine.
Over spring break, Henry decided to spend time with me. Just six days later, the world as we knew it would never be the same.

288 children in the U.S. died from flu last season. It's not too late to protect your family.

The goal is to give cheer and not the flu at the holidays. 🤧 Make sure you got the flu vaccine this year. And stay home if you are feeling sick.
