Also, Autism Advisory Council voted 👍 @jenniferboysko.com bills to make autism an affirmative defense in law enforcement assault cases; to develop pre-sentencing diversion program to keep ppl with autism from jail for minor offenses.

Shoutout to Second Look leg. too, but no vote.

I guess I would say yes, but. If VA voters truly oppose repealing (I've seen iffy polling of 3:1 against repeal), is doing it anyway the right move? Personally I've always felt some org needs to spend $$$ on a public info campaign (think 1VA2021) to educate voters so THEY rise up and demand it.

If she could do it by executive order, I would 💯 agree. (Letting one person who isn't up for re-election take the popularity hit would be ideal.) But the reality is that I don't see a full-repeal ever getting to her desk.

Yes, but it's more about how the media will report it. We live in a world of soundbytes, not statistics. 😒

I suspect they'd have lost 5-6 House seats no matter what. But with a terrible top of the ticket and putting all their eggs in a (fairly unlikeable) Miyares basket, a few more were sorta screwed.
