Zenos does not care about what other people consider good, or worthwhile, or ecstatic. He found his source of pleasure (!), and WoL was one of the only people in his life who was able to give it to him ever. He doesn't care about the morals of his ways because everything else is empty.

Zenos's fixation on the wol and the promise that she might them and fight them again is the reason she does everything she does in endwalker and it drives me crazy

as like, an example of this, currently one of my reasons for 'carrying on' so to speak is that i might be getting Zenos merch soon so i have to keep going for my hyperfixations sake *blows up*
