Looking at the image again, the baby rabbit looks like the size and shape I'd expect an adult rabbit to be

Also that baby rabbit is huge (new rabbits are also just huge), admittedly so are the baby chickens but I think they were reduced from their old size. The rabbit model is fine however I'm not really convinced it looks much better. The size makes them way too big tho.

I think part of me may just be change averse but I was very much for the texture changes circa 1.14 so it can't just be that. I feel like it may be that the old models already looked fine and had their own style.
