Check the DSM- V it’s currently categorised as a mental health disorder; it’s may be re categorised in the projected DSM VI when/if it finally appears. Not saying it is but officially that’s how it’s assessed as such.

It’s not a UK decision, we have to realign, then apply to join and any of the existing members can veto our membership- I would expect Hungary to veto as Orban is very pro Russian and both we and the EU are weaker apart
