Brutal... So thankful for the continued wastewater analysis that's happening, and to which you contribute, in Ottawa! 🙏🏼

Can someone provide the main takeaway in a sentence or two? Are vaccine-induced antibodies as protective as Covid infection? Better? Worse?

No mention of masks 😷? I'm really struggling to understand why OPH seems to consistently avoid recommending masks when they are proven to work. Remember when the masking we all did in 2021 actually *eradicated* a strain of the flu?

And yet nothing about masking in recent CMOH or PHAC briefings, recommendations, or educational materials on how to prevent flu and COVID 😭 Why do you think this is? It's such a simple tool to prevent infection.

Here's the link without the ":5037" portion of the URL (dunno why Science Direct is including this unusual port # in their URLs):

Good luck! Are you seeing many 😷 on the train?

Not to mention those who refuse mRNA for *whatever* reason, but are open to Novavax, would = more Canadians vaccinated. Look at how many people were opting to *pay* to get Novavax in the US the last few years. Plus anecdotally, ⬇️ side effects + I believe Nova can be manufactured in 🇨🇦! Win-win-win.

The last year has signalled the end of the roller coaster, not the pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 sits as yet another viral infection that we are susceptible to amongst the mix, no longer a looming boogeyman. See the clinical percent positivity across Canada. Lower this past year than any other. But …

Thank you. And for sure! AFAIK, I still have not had it and am very cautious with 😷💉. Glad it seems to be going around less this year which is encouraging, even if just from a "less chance of getting it" perspective. Still want to avoid it, just glad that it's not running rampant like it was.

I don't pretend to know what this all means, but I so appreciate the work you all do to keep this going! Quick question, what do you make of the relatively low incidence (2-3%) of Covid in Ottawa all year, and the fact that there was no big spike like there usually is in September?

AFAIK, I'm a Novid. I still 😷 and 💉 to err on the side of caution, but have you got some especially good sources for the AIDS claim? If it's true, then why hasn't that been made more public? People were **terrified** of AIDS. I'm not seeing the same fear, even 6 years into this pandemic.

Highly recommend. Generally the same rules but with a couple little changes that make it more interesting and challenging.
