I had no idea when I bought it, but there's actually a clear plastic cover over the instruction booklet, with text and character designs. I've tried getting pictures of it but it's a real pain.

Gleylancer was never released in the US, which is a crime since it's one of the best SHMUPs on the console.

~20 years ago, at the height of my interest in the series, I imported a copy of Gradius Gaiden. However, I was never able to play it on original hardware... until today.

Uhh this is Shadow Hearts, a fun spin on the JRPG formula with the Judgement Ring, which adds some light rhythm game mechanics.
People prefer the second game, but the first, with its dark, grungy Gothic/Gnostic tone, was always my favorite.
