this is what it looks like. Right now Google stores roughly 10 days of data on a hourly basis. I guess in theory a week over week look of yesterdays data would be something Google could "easily" implement.

I have to say I am really impressed by Claude 3.7 Sonnet. "Create a website in the style of the 'Still Alive' from at the end of Portal during the credits." didn't even take a minute to create a nice page which even could play music. Sure this isn't advanced programming but still very impressive.

Did Google lift a site reputation penality (in Germany) over the weekend?

Not sure if this behaviour is new but this doesn't seem right either. Why do old pages show up for a news search of the last hour? (I used NY Times as an example to show that this doesn't happen only to us)

No. But this is what I feel anxious about. It's not bot protection, robots.txt or server errors. And looking at server logs it get's even worse because instead of a general drop there are gaps where Googlebot decides to do nothing.

…make pseudo incognito searches without switching into incognito mode. I added www.google.com/search?igu=1... to my list additional search engines in Chrome (chrome://settings/searchEngines) to quickly access it

I love stuff like this: danielmangum.com/posts/this-w...

@danielmangum.com (mis)used the AT protocol which Bluesky uses under the hood to host his proof-of-concept "website" porcini.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atp...

And Google has already indexed it.

Looks to me like Google is rolling out the new follow feature to everyone (testes it with 2 accounts). I did some testing and you can follow:
- sites/feeds (but only english shown right now)
- searches (last entry in the screenshot)
- topics/entities (second to last)
