It really was such a surprise. I saw it at night at the Kōdai-ji Temple. There was a very cool multimedia event that was very well orchestrated. It didn’t compete with the space and gave an immersive sense of the history / spiritual aspects.

Just read an article on a moss that is actually evolving on building in the exclusion zone in Chernobyl. Mmmhmm - all hail, indeed.

Language and dialect inclusion aren’t dissimilar. When people tell you not to include Trini or Caribbean speech in YOUR book it’s not just inconsiderate, ---> it’s erasure.

That’s turned out real well, historically.

Ok, so something else came to mind. I was born in Trinidad and my dad was from India. I speak Spanish, but none of my heritage languages. It’s a break in connection even in very recent generations. I couldn’t speak to my grandmother and it still breaks my heart.

Interesting. But a path that must be tread with caution as with any ecosystem engineering.

Wow! The blue depths are amazing. Love the way you got expression sans eyes. Not that they are needed to express!

Congrats! I love the soft contrast of the modern-ish details of his body vs. his face, which has a warm and striking, almost nostalgic / straightforward quality to it. Very nice.

Totally agree to the power of the living green! (and other colors)

Honestly, I feel it would a great appreciation to introduce to kids in school too.

Amazing! I was just talking about forest “bathing” a few days back. I feel weird when I’m not really outside for a few days. Very curious about forest therapy walks!
