With respect, take your accusations of "coddling" and shove it. I have only 300 characters to make my point which doesn't leave much room for nuance so let me make this clear. I have no problem with bullying these quislings, I just wish people payed half as much attention to the cis-het bigots.

I'm not saying they're victims, and I'm not saying they're not hypocrites. But a handful of closet-cases didn't make our society hostile to queers. Just saying it might be a good idea to focus our anger on the actual cause of society's collective queerphobia (it's the rich).
