Congratulations to CS Prof Ian Goldberg and his colleagues Aniket Kate and Greg Zaverucha on winning the 2025 Asiacrypt Test-of-Time Award. Their highly cited 2010 paper introduced constant-size polynomial commitment schemes central in the design of ZK proof systems.

Congrats to Prof Chengnian Sun and his collaborators Vu Le and Zhendong Su on winning the OOPSLA 2025 Most Influential Paper Award for their work on automated compiler testing. Their research introduced a new way to expose previously undetected bugs in compilers.

Chengnian Sun and Hongyang Zhang have each received $60k USD through the Google Research Scholar Program. Professor Sun’s project will focus on enhancing compiler optimizations; Professor Zhang’s project aims to improve the speed and efficiency of reasoning in LLMs.
