Engineer, amateur musician, 25 years in UV disinfection. Covid aware - still masking.
The first bullet, “wash your hands” is a directive - very clear. The fifth bullet, about masks, starts with a conditional (if you’re sick..) then suggests (“consider wearing) a mask, not a respirator. Talk about burying the lede.

Meanwhile in business, it’s “performance assessment” time. ☹️

That’s about $65 per active duty military person in the US. Is this going to specific groups, or is it just another bribe?

It’s a mystery.

But this way you retroactively adjust the objectives to match the results. P-hacking for politicians?

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve had two (mild) episodes of shingles since getting a Covid infection. Good thing I had the shingles vaccine.

People need to start carrying side cutters. Cut off their valve stems when they park.

Any word on how to submit a claim?

If you’re under 65 in B.C. you don’t qualify. Hmmm.

AI still can’t do hands, apparently.

I think “posing” is fair. It’s not presently a revolutionary tool, and may never be.

And so they’re no longer promoting vaccination because…

Given the prevalence of asymptomatic infection, I’m skeptical of any negative cohort unless tested for antibodies.

Then the US can brick them at will with an OTA update.

Maybe they could have used sensors in care homes, and tracked outbreaks there. Or track Covid levels in wastewater as wildfire smoke particulate increase & decreases. Otherwise it’s just showing a correlation between a model of their sensor data and an unproven model of transmission risk.

Their best argument is that not all microbes are anti-microbial resistant and that they don’t know the author’s names???

No mention of the school workers that left the system, some undoubtedly due to Covid-related health issues. Also, note the framing of the pandemic being over. Still an interesting study- thanks for sharing.

That’s remarkable. Either it’s a conscious decision by the authors or it’s an outward manifestation of their cognitive dissonance on Covid.

After a quick scan: is it true that they never used data on actual infection rates, just predefined low/medium/high risk, which was itself a criterion from another paper? Seems like you’d want to compare the model against measured infection rates.
