Do we trust an ex-Gooner? 🤔

A Derek Guy x Quakerism crossover?! Can't believe I missed it

Looking forward to your thoughts! I quit Spotify a year or so ago and moved to Tidal but am very interested in Qobuz because of the ability to buy music and also the fancy lossless audio formats available

I thought we were doing Dimension 20 On A Bus now?

It does feel, though, like Republicans are very effective in the minority at either shaping legislation or blocking it altogether whereas Democrats seem to be toothless when they're in the minority. Could just be vibes!

@lakshya.splitticket.org Coming back to this, this is kind of what I'm talking about. Where were these types of pieces in 2021 about Republicans? And if there wasn't an abundance of them, why not? www.nytimes.com/2025/05/25/u...

Fair, but I'm not convinced that if the map favored Democrats in the same way that there would be the same level of discourse directed at Republicans.

It feels like the press collectively decided that Republican politicians and voters can't be moved away from Trump, so why even ask the question of how the party could appeal to more moderates.
May 13, 2025 at 10:39 PM
Thanks! But I think my question was more about why the _media_ didn't relentlessly publish pieces on the GOP needing to moderate like they do now about Democrats. The current level of discourse around that question as it applies to Dems is way higher than I recall it being applied to the GOP in 2021

I guess this is also for @daveweigel.bsky.social. When Dems lose: moderate moderate moderate. When GOP loses: full steam ahead on the Trump agenda, no need to moderate.

I think you need two claves to make sound though 🤔

Thankfully my grandparents were smart enough to give their children English names. My understanding isn't that Chinese was forbidden, they just didn't speak it around the kids and were the only Asian family in Adams County.
