$500k is nothing to scoff at, but don’t pretend that was truly a 24 hour haul. This is a well coordinated and planned campaign roll out. Much, if not most of those donations, were in place for weeks in advance of the announcement.

Conversely the GOP needs independents and lots of Dems to win. I’m much more skeptical of the GOPs ability to nominate a candidate that will play to this crowd than the Donkeys.

I guess the best thing that can be said about the McMullin experiment is that the Dems didn’t hit their all-time lows in terms of state legislative and country representation, just almost.
