Very entertaining to watch named characters die with the approx speed of one per frame. Probably not that good as an adaptation, but I like Rintarou as a director and I got what I wanted. Koyama Mami was very sexy as Karen

This is how I like my anime fantasy, with broad-shouldered, long haired guys, magical locales and theme songs by Arai Akino. It's very obviously a piece of a larger epic narrative cut to movie length, but that doesn't hurt it a bit. V v good

Not A Good Movie but I had a blast with it, part 2. This one veers into a different direction with time loops and alt universes and a really great piece of Wierd Architecture. The story still makes no sense, don't care, love the setting & visuals

Yeah, they went for the full course, because why not

Now this is objectively Not A Good Movie, but that doesn't change the fact that I unabashedly loved it. The animation is clunky, the story is just vibes and some pretty imagery - don't care, love how they just go through every J-horror cliche.
